With the poor weather in the Edmonton area and no signs of letting up, we have decided to call off the contest.

The official turnpoint file and airspace for the contest is available at http://soaringweb.org/TP/Chipman.  The numbered turnpoints are best used for easy reference when programming the task.

Invitation

The 2013 Alberta Soaring Competition, an Alberta Soaring Council annual event, will be held at Chipman, Alberta this year, hosted by the Edmonton Soaring Club, June 13-16. The contest will cater to contest flying newcomers with daily presentations on contest and x-country theory. Canadian Nationals rules will be used along with the Canadian/SSA handicap list. A mandatory Pilot Safety Meeting will be held June 13 at 9:30am and subsequent pilot meetings at 10am. Contest Director will be Chris Gough.
